When you’re a #GirlBoss, its hard to keep things going. Sometimes life gets the best of us and causes a block in motivation. But it’s okay, it happens to everyone (I swear). Feeling stuck is a bad feeling and its hard to get out of a rut. We’re so weighed down by our responsibilities and obligations that we can forget about what makes us tick. Here are five ways to get your mojo back.
1. Get Lost…
…in your imagination! Open up your mind to get those creative juices flowing. When you allow your mind to open up, you invite new ideas and feelings in. Venturing into La-La Land can be fun because, for once, reality isn’t smacking you in the face. The things that you are dreaming up could be new projects that you could start or an innovate idea for work. Allowing yourself to be creative will get you excited about what’s to come.
2. Do something you enjoy!
If you love to cook, try new recipes. If you love to travel, go on a day trip to a place you’ve never been. Doing things you love and doing things that give you life is the perfect way to revive yourself. Passion is something that can be personal and if you tap into what you’re passionate about, it makes you happy and energized. After you get your motivation back, make sure you keep doing things that you enjoy and make time for it in your busy schedule.
3. Get Away!
Spend time with yourself to get away from outside influences, so you can clear your mind. After some self reflection and brainstorming, you feel clean of anything that is weighing you down mentally. A great way to get away is to set some time aside to have for yourself to do what ever it is that will cleanse you mentally. Don’t completely drop off the face of the earth, but just dedicate time to yourself to recharge. Don’t take any phone calls, don’t answer any emails, and do something that calms you. A cluttered mind is like cancer to productivity, so do yourself a favor and take care of your mind first.
4. Try Something New!
This a great way to get inspiration because its new experiences that you have had that influences you to move forward. When you do the same thing over and over again, life gets mundane and just plain ole’ boring. Trying new things is exciting and gets you hype to try even more new things. New experiences and memories enrich your life, which help remind you of how great life is.
Sometimes things might be out of order. Your priorities may not be in the best place and you may need to do some renovation in your life. This can be difficult because you may need to eliminate some things out of your life to help you progress. Whatever it is, re-evaluating what (or who) is good or bad for you is important. You don’t need negativity in your space because your future is way too bright. Keep in mind what it is that you want and make sure that what you have in your life is going to help you get there. If its not, then you might need to make some cuts.
Life gets complicated. So much is going on and our head gets clouded occasionally. With such busy lives, its important that we stay lifted. Not everyday is going to be sunshine and smiley faces of course, but its up to you to make sure you are fulfilled and leading a life you love. If you ever find yourself in a funk, don’t just stay there, use these tips to get back out there and kill it!
