Have you tried any of the products from the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore line? If you haven’t, then let me tell you a little more about them based on my experience. I received a bottle of the lotion in my Target beauty box and after trying it I had to go back for the rest of the collection.
First, if you are not familiar with Jamaican Black castor oil it is a very potent ingredient that repairs your hair and strengthens it, leaving you with great shine. However the smell of the raw oil can be very overwhelming, leaving a lot of women shying away from using it. With this line you get the great benefits of the oil without the strong smell that is normally associated with it. In addition, most of the products are fortified with other great ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter and Jojoba oil.
Since I’ve been using a blue dye on my ends I was really in need of giving my hair a little TLC. It makes sense to start repairing the hair now instead of being paranoid about hydration once winter hits. And trust me, winter is coming sooner than we think.
Let me be very clear about my reaction! SheaMoisture had me smiling from ear to ear after using this styling lotion. The label said that it is supposed to moisturize dry and coarse hair and leave your hair silky. My hair isn’t even coarse but it performed to the 1000th degree on my waves. My hair was super soft after the first application. Believe or not my hair gets tangled so a little bit of this lotion not only detangled my hair but moisturized it and left me completely in shock at how good my hair felt. I was even more blown away by the fact that days later my hair was still feeling #OnFleek.
I’ve used this on my wet and dry hair and got the same results! Needless to say, I absolutely adore this stuff. Seriously, you should give it a try. It is now my new favorite hair lotion. If you are a lover of the SheaMoisture Curl & Style Milk then I am happy to tell you that it is way better. Now a staple in my hair routine!
