You should know that like my lipsticks (read about my recent fave here), I have a plethora of glasses. And by that I mean a big woven black and white basket that sits on top of my wardrobe closet is filled with about 20 pairs of glasses.
I’ve been wearing prescription glasses since I was in middle school. I could have been that smart little girl in elementary school with the rubber attachment on her glasses but I decided to lie and even purposely sit in the front of the classroom just so that I didn’t have to be her.
Today, not so much. Glasses are in! They are officially a member of #TeamCool. People who don’t even have to wear glasses are wearing them (for the record you people can go straight to hell, the hate is real). I’ve considered Lasik but the thought of having an actual laser roam around my open eyeballs just isn’t a task I’m willing to take on at the moment. So I just went OD and purchase a bunch of glasses. But I really only wear three or fours pairs, and these June Ambrose specs are one.
I found them at June Ambrose’s sample sale. Christen and I got up early one Saturday morning last summer and stood in this line. If you look closely you can pay “Where’s Waldo” and look for Christen in black and white of course. June is standing directly in front of me sooooooo there’s that!
These weren’t an instant buy for me though. Well, nothing really is. They totes should have been. But when I first tried them on I was torn. They came in pink, white and blue. It was clear I wasn’t getting pink. I hate that damn color. But these blue ones were super cute too.
Then I was trying really hard to envision them as just regular specs and not shades. Until Christen actually convinced me to get them but made me promise that I get them filled with my prescription and that they wouldn’t just sit in my big woven black and white basket that sits on top of my wardrobe closet.
I’ve actually kept my promise. So how do you like my glasses? Lie to me if you have to and tell me you love them.
