In episode 7 of my podcast, I explore this idea of being a likable person and what that really means. Aka, how to deal when people don’t like you. Like, why we really care if someone likes us or not? Glad you asked! It’s a form of validation for us. Being likable is a very warm and comforting feeling. We feel validated and happy. And when psychologists have dissected the theories and concepts of being self-aware, how we are liked has been proven to be viewed as a reflection of who we are. To both us and the outside world. My time living in New York tested these theories over and over again.
It took me a while to record this episode because I realized that I was trigger AF. But I feel someone had to say it! Take a listen and let me know what you think.Listen to “Destination Heal with Ty Alexander” on Spreaker.
