1. Wake Up Early

This may be easier for some than others, but getting an early start is the easiest way to have more time in the day. Those extra two to four hours can be open for things that you don’t necessarily want to do like standing in a long line at the DMV when no ones there or grocery shopping when everyone’s asleep. Also try going to sleep a little earlier to make the morning a little more of a breeze to get through. They weren’t lying when they said that the early bird gets the worm.

2. Please Eat…Pretty Please

If you have an extremely busy schedules, sometimes eating might feel like time wasted but DO NOT skimp on breakfast, lunch or dinner. Use this time to get re-energized and food will definitely help you get your mind right. If you rush your lunch or skip breakfast, your mind will be focused on eating and in result, makes you slow down even more. To skip the risk of being cranky or distracted by hunger just have a proper meal.

3. Schedule Yourself

Sometimes we can get distracted and off track with various disturbances, but that can easily be fixed with a schedule. Making a schedule helps you control the time you spend on doing one thing. Keep in mind not to focus too much on time that it over powers your work, but keeping an eye on the clock shouldn’t hurt anybody.

4. Plan Ahead and Be Strategic

Having a game plan before you start your day will set you up for major success because you aren’t spending extra time figuring out what you need to do. Take sometime the night before to list out what you need to do the next day. This will help cut out any loafing around on what needs to be done. Also consider the amount of time it may take to do these things and carve out a window for time, so you save even more of it. Next thing you know, you will have time to get something extra done and things will move along faster.

5. Create Some “Me” Time For Yourself

Sometimes taking a few hours or even a whole day to do things that you want that don’t involve work or obligations is the best aid for your productivity. Your mind is always going and working too hard is the fastest way down a path to regression. Realize when you’re doing too much. The last thing you want is to get burnt out and become unproductive, so take some time for yourself and refuel so you can make the most of your days ahead.

We live in a time where there are so many options and so much one person can do, so being busy is inevitable. Our ambitions and aspirations are at an all time high, so why not reach for the start and accomplish our goals. With these tips, you no longer have to be a slave to your “to do” list.  Now you can go out there, be the boss that you are, and get things done.

I always NEED productivity tips, yet somehow I still end up not being as productive as I’d like. I’d like to think that my expectations of how much I should be getting done are too high…but indeed that’s wishful thinking. I do realize that when I plan my schedule the day prior I start off on better footing.
ALSO, it’s impossible for me not to eat breakfast (I literally go to sleep excited about waking up for it). Knowing that I’ll have an exciting breakfast in the morning definitely helps me wake up early.
My favorite easy, healthy, and super yummy breakfasts are avocado on toast (with kimchi and/or beans for extra fun), chocolate banana smoothie, and pancakes (make the batter the night before!)

I actually HATE breakfast food. And I am never hungry when I get up. But I’m trying!
