I am that girl who will stretch the goodness of a great blow out for at least 3 (maybe 4!) weeks. Normally I wash my hair every 9 or 10 days but when I get a good blow out I’m committed until the very end. So how do I do said stretching — dry shampoo. I’ve gone through a few different brands but recently I tried Drybar’s new Detox Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam.
This dry shampoo is way different than the others I’ve tried. Normally, dry shampoo comes in a spray and it’s really easy to apply too much. And once there’s too much, your hair is now a dusty white color and there’s no other option but to turn the day into a wash day!

But not Drybar’s Detox Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam!

The lightweight, foam consistency makes this perfect for any hair texture. Beyond the feel of this product it also smells like the air in Heaven. I imagine the air in Heaven to smell like everything good. I realized that smell is Drybar’s signature Blanc scent with notes of coconut, vanilla and amber. All mixed together–the air in Heaven! It’s so fresh and clean.

The product is also super easy to use. One little push to dispense a dollop out, rake it through your roots, and massage through your hair until it’s dry. Because my hair is really thick I used about 3 dollops of the product. The foam is super deceiving because it doesn’t leave your hair wet at all. It dries super quickly and there was also no ashy, dusty residue because it’s powderless.

My favorite part is that it comes in a 4.5 oz container which makes for a very travel friendly companion. You can bet I will be taking this with me on vacation and especially on photos shoots to clear up all the spray and gook they put on my hair.

I love the end result of this product. It left my hair less oily and really deodorized my hair. And because my hair was less oily, my hair was volumized.

I’ve never tried dry shampoo before because honestly I thought it was for white folks only, but I’m going to give this a try. I’m natural too and have been wearing my hair straight lately. Thanks!
