Happy Turkey Day!
Yesterday my boyfriend was hired to take pictures at a charity event for one of the Baltimore Ravens. The foundation was giving out thanksgiving dinners for the needy families in Baltimore. So I started thinking. What if I didn’t have money to buy food for Thanksgiving?
I’m taking a small break from fashion to dedicate this post to the 5 things I am thankful for.5. My Journey – I am thankful for the experiences that I have had. Even the bad ones have taught me so much about life and myself. I grow with each day and I appreciate my journey.
4. My Sources of Income – Although I am not quite where I want to be, I can confidently say I am so very thankful to have a steady source of income that allows me to have fun, pay my bills, and stash a little away for a rainy day.
3. My friends and people I have met along the way – My circle of true friends is small and I have always been a believer of “people come into your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime”. Whether I’ve known them for 20 years or 2 days, I’ve managed to create lasting memories with everyone I meet.
2. My family – My immediate family consists of my mother, father, brother, my son, my best friends, and my boyfriend. I cannot imagine my life without any of them. Each of them contribute to my daily survival in a way that no other person can.
1. You (my readers) – I started my blog almost a year ago and I had no clue of what I was getting into. As the managing editor of a fashion magazine, blogging at the time was just an outlet for me. It’s become this wonderful community that I love and grow as a writer with each day. I am elated when you leave me comments, express how my post relates to you, or retweet something I am feeling that day. For that I thank you!
WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR THIS SEASON?
